How to use the milKit rim tape?

• MilKit products offer the simplest solution for tubeless installation and maintenance.
• We designed our rim tape to be very strong and reliable for an airtight fit, but with enough flex to make installation quick and easy.
• A rim tape is required to ensure that air does not escape through the holes drilled in the rim for the spokes.
• Choose a rim tape width that matches the inside width of your rim or is slightly larger.
• The rim tape should cover the entire base of the rim and may even cover part of both sides. Using too narrow rim tape can cause air leakage between the rim and the tape, which can be frustrating.
• If it is too wide, it can interfere with the correct positioning of the tires.

For a simple and efficient installation:

1. Clean the rim thoroughly and make sure it is dry
2. Install the rim tape by pulling it firmly into the rim. It must be airtight and ensure that there are no spaces or air trapped below.
3. Make sure it overlaps at least 10cm above the valve hole, it is better to have longer overlap than shorter
4. Use two coats for high pressure wheels (above 8 bar)
5. Cut the rim tape at a 45 ° angle for optimum grip and flexibility
6. Install the milKit tubeless valves in the rim: just pinch a small hole in the rim tape and push the valve through the strip in the rim
