Disc brakes provide better performance for road cyclists, whether they are amateurs or professionals. Carbon fiber braking surfaces indeed impose significant design constraints as they limit the possibilities in terms of weight reduction and rim design.
Removing them allowed us to completely rethink the rim profile. The SES 5.6 Disc thus has a patented SES curved rim , optimized for disc braking.
The structural efficiency of the rim and its impact resistance are thereby enhanced. Last point, the SES 5.6 carbon with tire is tubeless compatible it can also be mounted with tires with inner tube. Like all SES clincher and tubular carbon wheels of its generation, the SES 5.6 Disc offers maximum aerodynamics when paired with 25mm tires.
