IvyTex is based on a concept that has been used for many years in the industry at highly stressed points, where moving parts must be protected against wear.
ABUS has chosen to fully exploit this concept by using it for the casing of its chain locks, thus increasing the protection against abrasion but also the casing to protect the bike against any damage caused by the chain. Besides its long service life, other properties characterize IvyTex technology: the high-tech fabric is indeed durable and extremely flexible, which makes it waterproof and weatherproof. Water therefore does not penetrate into the fabric, protecting the anti-theft device from corrosion. No more excuses in bad weather for not securing your bike for fear of dirt.
